Controls & Automation Engineer - MHI Team

This role involves a mix of electrical/system design, offsite PLC code development and onsite automation startup in various material handling facilities. Duties include designing modifications to existing systems, reverse engineering existing automation code, developing new control networks and PLC/HMI code and implementing new hardware and controls solutions during customer-permitted downtimes (often weekends). Activities are similar to our Custom Integration services but with slightly more standardization due to the focus being in the Material Handling Industry.  

 

Job Responsibilities 

PLC & HMI programming on various platforms 

Drives and motion control on various platforms 

Microsoft operating systems, office, and networking 

Electrical troubleshooting

 TRAVEL OPPORTUNITIES:  Up to 30%, short-term 

SCHEDULE: Varied schedule, weekend requirements, possible night shift 

OVERTIME OPPORTUNITIES: Frequent
