Product Development Intern
As a Product Development Engineering Intern, you’ll join our System Engineering group and work alongside experienced engineers to support the development and testing of next-generation chemical analysis devices. This internship offers hands-on experience in areas such as microfluidic dispensing, spectrophotometric measurements, and system integration.
You’ll gain exposure to:
- Requirements analysis and conceptual design.
- Testing and validation of device performance.
- Collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams.
- Real-world problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in defining requirements and developing specifications for chemical analysis processes.
- Support the creation and execution of test plans for new designs and improvements.
- Help evaluate materials and components for compatibility with chemical processes.
- Participate in troubleshooting and performance analysis of devices and subsystems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review designs and test results.
- Document findings and contribute to reports that support engineering decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related field.
- Experience using AI agents
- Familiarity with scientific tools such as Matlab, Python, or LabView (coursework or projects count).
- Exposure to microfluidics, spectrophotometry, fiber-optics, or electromechanical systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
