A career in Technical Services where none of us stand still.

The Technical Services department is responsible for leading new product introductions at the manufacturing site, qualifying alternate suppliers, monitoring product quality, and improving processes by resolving supplier issues, improving process yields, and reducing waste. 

In your role you will learn fundamentals of tablet manufacturing and associated process challenges. During your co-op you will identify key points and factors in granulation and compression processes that generate waste and plan and execute actions to reduce or eliminate the waste. You will work in a team environment providing technical support to manufacturing operations and help resolve day-to-day issues that might affect quality or productivity. This role will be a blend of time on the manufacturing floor and at an office desk.

By the end of your co-op you will develop granulation and tablet manufacturing process understanding and new skills such as building control charts for key process steps identified as contributing to waste. Your success will be measured by the impact of your work onto the reduction of waste and/or the increase in manufacturing output.

What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?

  • Collect and analyze process and equipment data and information to develop baselines for optimal operation
  • Apply engineering analysis and statistical process control to key unit operations in granulation and tablet manufacturing to improve processes and optimize equipment functionality
  • Execute projects to reduce waste and increase output in granulation and compression

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical/biomedical/engineering or pharmaceutical/ material science majors with course or practical work in technical field and basic statistics knowledge.
  • Must have an active student status for the duration of the Co-Op.
  • Must be willing to work on the manufacturing floor as well as in an office environment.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of, their employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization.
  • Must be eligible to work onsite on a full-time basis during the internship duration (40 hours/week) and provide their own funding for relocation and commuting.

Rate: $24.50
