Architecture Co-op

Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture (HPA) is an architecture, planning, and interior design firm that practices nationally from our studio located in the vibrant and transit-friendly North Union district of Chicago.  Named 2018 Firm of the Year by AIA Chicago, HPA delivers multi-use commercial, residential, and hospitality projects that share a common sensibility toward placemaking.
We have a job opportunity for an architecture co-op who will assist in the development of architectural plans and other project-related information, while working in collaboration with a Project Architect, Principal, or Partner.
Responsibilities include:  draft and address red-lines of details, wall sections, elevations, plans, color renderings, and presentation drawings; translate conceptual design sketches into schematic design drawings; assist in coordination drawings with outside consultants and other project team members; conduct analysis of zoning and building code compliance through each phase of design, including periodic check of zoning and data sheets; and assist in the creation and updates of office standard details and drawing templates.
