The State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation (DOT) is now accepting applications for a Transportation Engineer Technician Trainee (Surveys) position in the District 2 Office located in Norwich, CT.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Full Time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday  | First Shift
  • Location:  District 2 Survey Unit, Norwich, CT

THE ROLE

 

  • Be part of a dynamic team of engineering professionals supporting design and construction projects across the state.
  • Learn to operate cutting-edge survey equipment including Total Stations, Digital Levels, and GPS receivers.

Gain hands-on experience in:
 

  • Topographic, construction, and boundary surveying
  • Land surveying methods and procedures
  • Field and office survey operations
  • Receive on-the-job training and mentorship to build your technical skills.
  • After one year, become eligible for promotion to Transportation Engineer Technician.
