Architectural Designer I
Position Overview
The Architectural Designer I is an entry-level role that supports architectural design and documentation under the supervision of licensed architects. This position focuses on producing technical deliverables, assisting with design development, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating 3D models and design drawings using BIM tools such as Revit
- Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings
- Develop discipline-specific deliverables including reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, schedules, and installation details
- Conduct site investigations and gather data for design development.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Perform quality control tasks such as red-to-black markup reviews.
- Ensure adherence to building codes, client requirements, and project standards
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduating in May 2026 with an NAAB-accredited professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch, M.Arch, or D.Arch) preferred
- Alternatively, an Associate Degree or Technical Trade School Certification with at least two years of A/E/C firm experience
- Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite required
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Enscape preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of sustainability standards such as LEED or WELL Certification
- Ability to travel moderately for project-based activities
