Summer Internship Program
The Kirksey Summer Internship Program for Architecture & Interior Design was created to identify students the year prior to completing their degree in Architecture (NAAB Accredited), Interior Design (CIDA Accredited), building performance or graphic design at U.S. institutions, who possess the design talent, work ethic, and enthusiasm necessary to become part of the Kirksey team and provide them with practical experience in a professional architectural environment that will enable the students to explore their areas of interest in the fields of architecture and design. Individuals with experience in Grasshopper plugins (Honeybee, Ladybug, etc.) or energy simulation (EnergyPlus, eQUEST, IES, etc.) will be considered for internship with our Sustainability and Building Performance Team. Individuals pursuing careers in Graphic Design or Environmental Graphics will be considered for our Brand Integration Team.
Program Requirements
The Kirksey Summer Internship is open to students who are enrolled in an NAAB or CIDA accredited Architecture or Interior Design program as well as some building sciences and graphic design programs at U.S. Institutions.
Degree Eligibility:
- 5-year Bachelor of Architecture (4th year student)
- 2-year Master of Architecture (1st year student)
- 3-year Master of Architecture (2nd year student)
- Bachelor of Interior Design (3rd year student)
- Building Sciences (year prior to graduation) – Sustainability and Building Performance Team
- Graphic Design (year prior to graduation) - Brand Integration Team
