Intern - High Temp Systems
Physical Sciences Inc. (PSI), located just north of Boston, MA seeks a rising Junior or Senior with experience in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering for an internship supporting our Deployable Technologies division. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to two critical, high-impact projects focused on developing next-generation additive manufacturing techniques for thermal management and advanced propulsion systems.
The responsibilities of the intern supporting this project include:
- Working alongside PSI engineers to refine, model, and simulate joint design
- Rapid prototyping, fabrication, and testing of subscale articles
- Review of government specifications and standards
- Design and assembly of test cells (P&IDs, instrumentation, plumbing)
- Presenting results and findings to the team
During this internship, the candidate will work with PSI’s Senior Engineers, contributing directly to design, validation, and optimization across both projects. The candidate will gain experience in 3D modeling, experiment design, data analysis, and iterative prototyping, as well as communication skills relevant to the field.
This internship may be most beneficial for students pursuing degrees in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering with interest in mechanical design and material science.
Hourly Wage Range : $20-$35
