VDC (Virtual Design & Construction) Intern

Who We Are:

Arc Building Partners is seeking creative, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented VDC Interns to join our team for the upcoming term. This internship offers hands-on experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction workflows that support our project teams. You’ll gain practical exposure to 3D modeling, coordination, and the digital tools used to plan and execute real construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

As a VDC Intern, you will support the VDC team and project stakeholders through digital modeling, documentation, and coordination tasks. Responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting in the creation and modification of basic 3D models in Revit
  • Helping develop sign-off files in AutoCAD
  • Supporting the tracking and identification of coordination issues using Procore or similar tools
  • Exporting views, quantities, and model data to support estimating and scheduling needs
  • Taking meeting minutes for design and coordination reviews
  • Assisting with simple 2D logistics plans and contributing to basic 3D site logistics models
  • Learning and applying Arc’s VDC standards, modeling guidelines, and best practices
  • Performing additional VDC-related tasks as assigned under supervision

Who We’re Looking For:

Education & Experience

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of BIM tools such as Revit and AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
  • Effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively
