Field Operations Intern

Who We Are:

Arc Building Partners is seeking motivated, hands-on, and safety-minded Field Operations Interns to join our team for the upcoming term. This is an immersive opportunity to experience daily field operations on active construction sites and learn directly from superintendents, project managers, and trade professionals. You’ll gain real-world exposure to how projects are built—from mobilization to turnover.

📍 Buffalo, NY

Key Responsibilities:

As a Field Operations Intern, you will support site teams and assist with the execution of day-to-day field activities. Responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting superintendents with daily field coordination
  • Helping track jobsite progress and documenting work with photos and reports
  • Supporting safety walks, toolbox talks, and adherence to site safety standards
  • Reviewing drawings, RFIs, and submittals with the field team
  • Observing trade contractor work and attending on-site coordination meetings
  • Assisting with delivery coordination, material tracking, and inventory management
  • Helping maintain daily logs, field reports, and site documentation
  • Using digital tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
  • Supporting site logistics, punch list activities, and quality control tasks
  • Assisting with other assignments as directed by the Superintendent or Project Manager

Who We’re Looking For:

Education & Experience

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Strong interest in fieldwork and the construction industry
  • Willingness to work in an on-site construction environment
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Previous construction or site experience is a plus, but not required
  • Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms is a bonus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent use of hands for typing and document handling
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Clear vision and hearing required for meetings, document review, and site visits
