Job Description

The Technical Designer is responsible for producing high-quality project deliverables and construction documents that align with project design intent and technical standards. This role contributes to all phases of design Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration ensuring precision, coordination, and consistency throughout each stage. The Technical Designer will report directly to the Production Director and collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and design teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce detailed and accurate construction documents and technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure constructability, code compliance, and technical accuracy.
  • Support all project phases, from schematic design through construction administration.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Review and integrate redlines, technical details, and product specifications.
  • Assist in maintaining firm-wide CAD/BIM standards and best practices.
  • Participate in quality control reviews to ensure consistency across project documentation.

 

Here's What You'll Need:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s or a Master’s Degree in Architecture, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in using Revit.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Creativity, integrity, and initiative.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

The Salary rate for this position is anticipated to range between $55,000 - $88,000 This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer a competitive benefits package, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, Company-matching 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Program, and Tuition Reimbursement, in addition to other programs and perks.
