About the Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Community Solar team as a Data Analyst Intern, reporting directly to the VP of Revenue Operations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in revenue operations, data analysis, and process improvement within the rapidly growing Community Solar sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Recognition Documentation
- Collaborate with the accounting team and VP of Revenue Operations to formally document revenue recognition methods for Community Solar projects.
- Produce a comprehensive final document detailing how revenue is recorded for each CS project.
Revenue Alert System Development
- Research and evaluate potential alert systems for monitoring revenue, rate, and allocation flags.
- Work closely with the database team to ensure integration with live data systems (dependent on database readiness at internship start).
Data Organization & Reporting
- Organize and compile allocation lists and related project data, including host statements and credit reports.
- Support the organization and maintenance of information such as rates tables, ensuring data is accurate and accessible.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily available for stakeholders.
Customer Onboarding Support (Acquisition Team Support)
- Assist with the onboarding process for new Community Solar customers by preparing and organizing relevant data and documentation.
- Help streamline onboarding workflows to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with accounting, database, and project management teams to streamline data flows and reporting processes.
Learning and Development
- Gain exposure to revenue operations and data management best practices in the renewable energy industry.
- Develop skills in documentation, process improvement, and cross-departmental collaboration.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with data management tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
