Senior Data Scientist II
A rapidly growing fintech company in North America is seeking a Senior Data Scientist II to design and develop high-impact AI/ML models that power decision-making across multiple business areas. This is a remote-first opportunity for U.S.-based professionals, offering the flexibility to work from home or in-office. Youβll be joining a forward-thinking team where your work will directly influence customer experiences, risk modeling, marketing, and advanced analytics.
Role:
π§ Develop, validate, and deploy advanced ML and AI models for credit, fraud risk, and customer experience.
βοΈ Experiment with large-scale datasets to build predictive and generative solutions for real-world challenges.
π¬ Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Risk, and Engineering.
π§© Provide analytical guidance, test design support, and model interpretation to business stakeholders.
π Work on greenfield projects leveraging GenAI and neural network architectures.
π Ensure data quality, reproducibility, and scalability in production environments.
Requirements:
π PhD (preferred) or Masterβs in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or similar).
πΌ 5+ years of experience in Data Science (including academic research).
π° 2+ years of experience with data relevant to Financial Services or fintech.
π» Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Spark/PySpark preferred.
π Strong foundation in probability, statistics, and applied machine learning.
π§Ύ Experience with cashflow data (Plaid, MX, Finicity) is highly desirable.
π€ Familiarity with Neural Networks, LLMs, and Generative AI techniques.
π§ Excellent problem-solving skills with a self-starter mindset and strong communication abilities.
π§ Version control experience (Git or similar).
