Summary/Objective

Utilize available technology and resources to collaborate on design and construction projects.

Essential Job Duties

  • Perform pre-design feasibility assessments, soil verification, utility availability, and project cost analysis.
  • Coordinate project team and designs, ensuring code and accessibility compliance, drawing creation, and proper documentation.
  • Oversee construction contract administration and consultant design delivery administration.
  • Evaluate building envelope maintenance issues.

Ancillary Job Duties

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience in architecture design.
  • Current architect licensure in the state of Missouri.
  • A valid, current driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to prepare technical specifications.
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate between engineers, contractors and construction superintendents.
  • Working knowledge of standard business software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to use office equipment, such as copier, multi-line phone system, fax machine, scanner, and computer.
  • Advanced knowledge of architectural design software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, or similar.
  • Knowledge of project management principles.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and sustain positive working relationships.

Work Environment

  • Significant portion of work is performed in varying field environments.

Physical Abilities

  • Remain in a stationary position 70% or more of the time.
  • Move about inside the office to access files and/or machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Frequently communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
  • Regularly lift up to 5 pounds, correctly lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Concentrated attention is required at all times.
  • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
