Engineering Summer Internship (May - August)
Engineering Design Co-Op in Composites Manufacturing for students specializing in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Plastics, and Manufacturing Engineering.
Engineering Co-Op students will work closely with the Engineering Team at PulFlex Technologies. Taking on projects that will be technically challenging and may include getting your hands dirty. With the support of the Engineering Team, students will work on new and potential products, current production, and research and development. PulFlex's Co-op program includes onboarding training to get students knowledgeable about quality, safety, manufacturing, and the business side of PulFlex Technologies.
Essential Job Functions:
- Design manufacturing tooling with engineering drawings and 3D models using computer-aided systems such as DraftSight and SolidWorks.
- Perform hands-on work to support the production shop floor including production setup and tear down, data collection, design innovation, and implementation of designed tools.
- Be in communication with other teams at PulFlex including quality, machining, safety, purchasing, and sales.
- Reports on collected data and innovation findings to demonstrate needs for process changes and improvements.
- Gain proficiency in potential skills such as welding, CNC routing, machining, 3D printing, and production quoting.
