Test Farm Equipment Mechanic

Sage Ag Inc. is currently seeking hardworking, self-motivated, & detailed oriented individuals who are passionate about agriculture & machinery. Through this position, you will be working with a major agricultural machinery manufacturer in an experimental test farm environment. You will be working independently and as a team on the cutting edge of agricultural machinery technology maintaining, trouble-shooting and fixing agricultural equipment, machinery, and implements. This position is based in Coupland, TX and requires minimal travel. 

Responsibilities:

 • Responsible for organizing and keeping inventory of equipment/ implements • Responsible for executing and/or coordinating the maintenance and repair of large ag equipment • Performing routine maintenance on implements • Setting up new equipment/ implements • Reprogramming and configuring equipment for testing • Troubleshooting equipment (mechanical and electrical) • Recording and tracking equipment maintenance history in spreadsheets • Operate large Ag/Construction equipment • Preparing equipment/ implements to be sold 

Requirements:

 • Minimum of 3 years of heavy machinery shop work/maintenance experience • Minimum of 250 hours of agricultural machinery operation • Minimum GPA of 2.5 in Ag Engineering, AST, Mechanical Engineering or related major, Or equivalent experience in agricultural and mechanical pursuits. • High degree of farm equipment knowledge and safe operation of farm equipment and implements • Strong technology and computer troubleshooting skills • Excellent communication skills • Valid U.S. Driver’s License w/ clean driving record • Out-going and positive attitude • Proficient with computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, email) • Ability to work in a team environment & alone • Ability to lift 50 lbs • Ability to keep accurate & detailed records of work performed
